FRONT BELT MINDER FUNCTION
The belt minder function provides warnings to the driver if the appropriate
front seatbelts are not fastened when driving. The belt minder function is
controlled by the IC

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
The CKP sensor is located at the front left side of the engine. The sensor is
located in a hole in the lower timing chain cover and is secured with a screw.
The sensor receives a 5V reference voltage from the ECM. Two further
connections to the ECM provide ground and signal output.

WARNINGS:
To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury,
the
backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or
replacing any air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS)
components. To deplete the backup power supply energy,
disconnect the battery ground cable and
