REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.
NOTES:
- Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential
information is always correct.
Make the SRS system safe.

Torque: 47 Nm
CAUTION:
Make sure that the clockspring rotor does not rotate.

Secure with adhesive tape.
NOTES:
- Do not disassemble further if the component is removed
for access only.
- If equipped.

CAUTIONS:
- Make sure that the terminals or pins of the connector are
not bent or damaged.
- Take extra care not to damage the edges of the
component.

Repeat the step for the other side.

INSTALLATION
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new component is installed, the soft lock stop reset routine
should be completed on the power steering system, using the
approved diagnostic tool.

Dress flanges where necessary.
Remove the bracket from the new rear wheelhouse outer as
indicated.
Drill holes where the metal inert gas (MIG) plug welds are to be
installed as indicated.
Offer up the new rear wheelhouse outer and clamp into position.
