If Auto lamps is selected and the windscreen wipers are switched on for 20 seconds or more, the side lamps, tail lamps and headlamps will switch on automatically. When the wipers are switched off, the lamps will automatically switch off 2 minutes later.

HEADLAMPS - CONDENSATION

Misting of lamp lenses can occur under some atmospheric conditions. This will not affect the performance of the lamps and will clear during normal operation.

HEADLAMPS - DRIVING ABROAD

The headlamp beam pattern is suitable for driving on either side of the road.

There is no need for any mechanical adjustment or external decals.

HEADLAMP LEVELLING

HEADLAMP LEVELLING

Use the headlamp levelling control to account for vehicle loading changes. Press the switch to release and then rotate to the required position.

ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS)

When cornering using low beam, AFS will adjust the headlamp beams to provide improved illumination in the direction of travel.

AFS is deactivated when:

  • Reverse gear (R) is selected.
  • The vehicle is stationary.
  • Daytime running lamps are on.

If a system fault is detected, the headlamps will attempt to move to the central position, and remain stationary.

The AFS warning lamp will illuminate to indicate that a fault is present.
