REMOVAL
WARNING:
Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to: Exhaust System (309-00C Exhaust System - INGENIUM I4

CAUTIONS:
- To avoid damage to the joint or gaiter, do not allow the
driveshaft to hang.
- Discard the bolts.
NOTE:
Mark the position of the driveshaft flange in relation to the
drive pinion flange damper.

Discard the bolts.

Using a suitable transmission jack support the differential
case.

Use penetrating oil - spray through the driveshaft bolt holes
as shown.

CAUTION:
Use a suitable bolt with a square cross section end to avoid
damaging the driveshaft joint.

Driveshaft joint shown removed for clarity.

CAUTION:
Install the bolt finger tight.
NOTE:
Alternate tighten the bolts until the movement of the
driveshaft joint is detected.

Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable
retaining straps.

- Remove the bolt, turn the driveshaft and repeat the above
step at the opposite threaded hole.
- Repeat above steps until the driveshaft joint is fully released
CAUTIONS:
- To avoid damage to the joint or gaiter, do not allow the
driveshaft to hang.
- Mark the position of the driveshaft flange in relation to the
drive pinion flange.
- Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable
retaining straps.
- Discard the bolts.

The steering angle sensor is integrated into the clockspring.
The clockspring is mounted to the upper steering column with two screws,
and receives an electrical supply from the main harness via a multi-pin
connector located on the side of the unit. The module provides the location
and electrical
