Installation

CAUTION:

Make sure new bolts are installed.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Renew Part: Differential case front bolts.

Refer to: Fuel Tank (310-01A Fuel Tank and Lines - TD4 2.2L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

Refer to: Fuel Tank (310-01A Fuel Tank and Lines - TD4 2.2L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

CAUTION:

A new O-ring seal is to be installed.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Using the special tool, install a new oil seal.

Special Tool(s): 307-520

Renew Part: Differential pinion seal.

Tap the seal until the head of the drift is against the rear differential housing.

NOTE:

Lubricate the oil seal.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure the drive pinion flange scribed marks are aligned.
  • Make sure the mark on the drive pinion nut is never tightened short of the scribed mark on the drive pinion shaft.
  • Make sure the mark on the drive pinion nut is never tightened past the scribed mark on the drive pinion shaft.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Special Tool(s): 205-053

CAUTION:

Make sure the nut is installed to the depth noted in the removal procedure.

Torque:

M8 29 Nm

M6 10 Nm

CAUTION:

Make sure new bolts are installed.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Remove the transmission jack.

Torque: 175 Nm

NOTE:

If equipped

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

CAUTION:

The component must be aligned with the installation markings.

NOTES:

  • Make sure that new bolts are installed.
  • Tighten the retaining bolts working diagonally.

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Renew Part: Driveshaft to rear differential bolts.

Torque: 40 Nm

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Torque: 10 Nm

Rear drive axle_differential - Vehicles with- Active driveline drive pinion flange (G1781296) - Installation

Torque: 10 Nm

Check and top up the differential case.

     Satellite Radio Control Module (SRCM) - Nas only

    The Satellite Radio Control Module (SRCM) is located below the front right seat. The SRCM is secured to a mounting brackets and secured with flanged nuts. The SCRM is a dedicated tuner which is controlled by the IAM on the MOST ring. The tuner filters the signals from the satellite radio antenna
