REMOVAL

NOTES:

  • Some components shown removed for clarity.

Refer to: Electronic Parking Brake Service Mode Activation and Deactivation (206-05 Parking Brake and Actuation, General Procedures).

WARNING:

Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack.

Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the rear wheels and tires Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Refer to: Exhaust System (309-00A Exhaust System - GTDi 2.0L Petrol/GTDi 2.0L Petrol - SULEV, Removal and Installation).

Refer to: Exhaust System (309-00B Exhaust System - TD4 2.2L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

Refer to: Rear Silencer (309-00C Exhaust System - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

CAUTION:

Make sure that the brake hose does not support the full weight of the brake caliper assembly.

CAUTION:

Discard the nut and bolt.

Repeat steps 5 to 13 for the other side.

To aid installation, use a straight edge to mark the position of the subframe in relation to the body at the points shown.

General Equipment: Transmission jack

CAUTION:

Discard the bolts.

NOTE:

Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

NOTE:

Note the orientation of the components prior to removal.

CAUTION:

Discard the nuts.

CAUTIONS:

  • Discard the Upper arm nut and bolt.
  • Discard the Toe arm nut.

CAUTION:

Discard the nuts and bolts.

Repeat steps 20 to 22 for the other side.
