Installation

Uni-body, subframe and mounting system rear subframe - FWD (G1799046) - Installation

Torque: 9 Nm

Uni-body, subframe and mounting system rear subframe - FWD (G1799046) - Installation

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that new nuts and bolts are installed.
  • Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Renew Part: Lower control arm nut and bolt.

Torque:

Stage 1: 70 Nm

Stage 2: 240º

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that a new Upper arm nut and bolt are installed.
  • Make sure that a new toe link nut is installed.
  • Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Renew Part: Toe link to knuckle nut and bolt.

Renew Part: Toe link nut.

Torque:

Upper arm

Stage 1: 40 Nm

Stage 2: 180º

Toe link

Stage 1: 50 Nm

Stage 2: 60º

Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the other side.

CAUTION:

Make sure that new nuts are installed.

Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link upper nut.

Torque:

Bolts 60 Nm

Nuts 60 Nm

NOTE:

Make sure that the components are installed to the noted removal position.

Use the alignment marks to aid installation.

General Equipment: Transmission jack

CAUTION:

Make sure that new bolts are installed.

Torque:

Stage 1: 110 Nm

Stage 2: 120º

Torque:

Front 116 Nm

Rear 80 Nm

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that a new nut and bolt is installed.
  • Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Renew Part: Shock absorber to wheel knuckle mounting nut and bolt.

Torque: 170 Nm

Bolts 28 Nm

Nut 10 Nm

Repeat steps 12 to 20 for the other side.

It may be necessary to adjust the position the subframe(s) in order to achieve the correct wheel base, axle set-back and axle lateral off-set
