REMOVAL

NOTE:

NOTE:

The hood is manufactured from aluminium.

Make the SRS system safe.

WARNING:

Make sure that the hood is sufficiently supported before the gas strut is disconnected.

NOTE:

Repeat the step for the other side.

Torque: 24 Nm

NOTE:

Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is aware that some customers have requested that the pedestrian protection airbag cover be painted in an alternative colour. Please note that Retailers are advised that the pedestrian protection airbag should not be painted in alternative colours as this is not an approved condition for the system.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Check the gap and profiles of the hood are correct.
