CHECK
NOTES:

Raise and support the vehicle.
Refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and
Operation).
Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables,
Specifications).
CAUTION:
Make sure the battery is disconnected. Failure to follow this
instruction will cause a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) to be
flagged on the vehicle.
NOTE:
The harness connector on the rear drive unit hydraulic motor
has a two stage clip.
Move the clip upwards as illustrated.
Release the clip as illustrated to disconnect the electrical connector
Remove the fluid filler plug.
CAUTION:
Make sure the correct specification of oil is used.
Fill the rear drive unit to the level of the of the fill plug.
Refer to: Specifications (205-02B Rear Drive Axle/Differential -
Vehicles With: Active Driveline, Specifications).
- Install the fluid filler plug.
Torque: 12 Nm
Connect the rear drive unit hydraulic motor harness electrical
connector.
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables,
Specifications).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Do not rest your foot on the
brake pedal while the vehicle is
in motion.
Never allow the vehicle to coast
(freewheel) with the engine
switched off. The engine must be
running to provide full braking
assistance. The brakes will still
function with the engine off, but

Note: Disabling the passenger airbag is
market dependent.
The passenger's front airbag can be
switched on and off, using the interactive
controls in the Instrument panel when the
vehicle is stationary
