REMOVAL

  1. Raise the seat back to its rear most position.
  2. Move the seat back to the rear most position.

CAUTION:

Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

CAUTIONS:

  • Protect the surrounding trim to avoid damage.
  • Protect the surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.

Using the slide comfort handle to lower the seat back down and lock it into position.

WARNING:

This step requires the aid of other technicians.

CAUTION:

Do no use the towel bar to aid removal or installation of the seat.

Remove the seat from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

When installing the seat make sure that all precautions are taken to not sustain damage to the seat or vehicle.

Prior to installing the seat make sure that all teeth are engaged in the furthest point.

CAUTION:

Make sure to tighten the bolts in the illustrated sequence.

  1. Install the bolts numbered 1 to 3 finger tight.
  2. Tighten the bolts numbered 4 to 6.

Torque: 40 Nm

  1. Install bolt number 7 finger tight.
  2. Tighten bolt number 8.

Torque: 40 Nm

CAUTION:

Make sure to tighten the bolts in the illustrated sequence.

  1. Install the bolts numbered 1 to 3 finger tight.
  2. Tighten the bolts numbered 4 to 6.

Torque: 40 Nm

  1. Install bolt number 7 finger tight.
  2. Tighten bolt number 8.

Torque: 40 Nm

  1. Once the seat has been installed make sure the seat operates correctly using the towel bar.
  2. Make sure the towel bar locks correctly, and the movement lowers smoothly to the home position.

Measure the distance between the towel bar and floor and make sure that it aligns with the illustration.

Make sure pull check is carried out when installing seat electrical connections on main harness and seat heating connection.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
