Land Rover Discovery: AWD Left Transfer Case Seal - Vehicles with- Active Driveline (G1660846) / Removal and Installation

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

CAUTIONS:

• Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
• Take extra care not to damage the mating faces.
• A soft faced hammer should be used to avoid damaging the special tool and creating debris.

NOTE:

Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

WARNING:

Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.

Remove and discard the seal.

Remove and discard the seal.

Special Tool(s): 205-873/1

INSTALLATION

Install a new seal.

Special Tool(s): 205-873/2, JLR-205-873-01.2, 205-873/1

CAUTION:

Make sure the seal is installed in the correct orientation.

Install a new seal.

CAUTION:

Do not use excessive force to install the component
