REMOVAL

WARNING:

Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

CAUTION:

Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling this component.

NOTE:

Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

WARNING:

Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

Refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Removal and Installation).

NOTE:

Note the orientation of the component.

Remove and discard the bolts.

CAUTION:

Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.

CAUTIONS:

  • Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
  • Care must be taken to avoid damage to the mating surfaces.

NOTE:

Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.

Discard the components.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Make sure that the oil tubes are correctly installed.

Install the new oil tubes to the valve body as illustrated.

CAUTION:

Make sure that the oil tubes are correctly installed.

Install the new oil tubes to the transmission as illustrated.

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that the electrical connector is installed in the correct orientation as noted in the removal step.
  • Care must be taken not to damage the component.

Torque: 6 Nm

NOTE:

Make sure that the component is installed to the noted removal position.

Make sure that the wiring harness is installed as illustrated, failure to follow this instruction may cause damage to the wiring harness

CAUTION:

Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.

CAUTION:

Make sure that new bolts are installed.

NOTE:

Tighten the retaining bolts in the sequence illustrated.

Torque: 8 Nm

Refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Removal and Installation).

Connect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

Using the approved Land Rover diagnostic equipment, run the Automatic transmission valve block application.
