REMOVAL
NOTE:
The B-pillar inner panel is installed in conjunction with:
- Front fender
- Front door
- Rear door
- B-pillar outer panel
- Headliner
- Rocker panel
- Rocker panel and B-pillar inner
- B-pillar reinforcement

- The B-pillar inner panel is serviced as indicated.
- Before commencing this procedure make sure that you are aware of
all Health and Safety requirements.

NOTES:
- Any joints sealed as part of vehicle manufacture must be sealed as
part of the repair.
- Make sure a zinc rich primer is applied to any bare metal surfaces.

- Release and position the floor carpet to one side.
- Release and position the floor noise, vibration, harshness (NVH)
material to one side.
- Release and position the wiring harness to one side.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.

- Carefully separate the joints and remove the panel.
INSTALLATION
- Dress the flanges where necessary.
- Clean and prepare the panel surfaces.
- Offer up the new B-pillar inner panel and clamp into position.
Check alignment, if correct, proceed to next step. If not, rectify and
recheck before proceeding.

- Drill holes where the MIG plug welds are to be installed as
indicated.
- Remove the B-pillar inner panel.
- Deburr the drilled holes.

- Drill holes in the roof reinforcement where the MIG plug welds are
to be installed as indicated.
- Deburr the drilled holes.
- Offer up the new B-pillar inner panel and clamp into position.
Check alignment, if correct, proceed to next step. If not, rectify and
recheck before proceeding.

- Install the spot and the MIG plug welds as indicated.
- Dress all welds.
- Make sure that any open or exposed panel joints are correctly
sealed.
- Make sure corrosion protection is applied to all areas affected by
repair.
- The installation of associated panels and components is the reversal
of removal procedure.

Dress the flanges where necessary
Using the old B-pillar outer panel for reference measure, mark and
cut the new B-pillar outer panel where the Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
welded butt
